Best ePub Reader

ePub Reader – Adobe Digital Edition Mobile App

Total Score:☆☆☆☆☆ (VERY BAD)

So far this is the worst mobile ePub reader App I have seen. I can’t believe this is from Adobe.

The Android version on Google Play Store just scored 2.4. I suggest you go to the Apple Store and Google Play Store, take a look at how other users rate it.

What Adobe itself says about its ePub Reader

One eBook reader for all your Adobe DRM protected books across your Android Devices, iPad, Mac or PC. Adobe Digital Editions (ADE) is free-to-download and use, and completely ad-free. Use it to read EPUB and PDF books, both online and offline. Borrow ebooks from many public libraries for use with ADE. Extend your reading experience by transferring books from your personal computer to your Android devices. Organize your books into a beautiful custom library.

Experience gorgeous media rich books filled with interactive features, videos, and more. ADE’s support for EPUB3 standard allows you: consistent rendering of audio and video content; dynamic image resizing without loss in clarity; support for multi-column layouts, interactive quizzes, and math formulas.
Seamless fulfillment of books across devices: With this new feature, when a consumer fulfills a book on one device, the book will be automatically downloaded to all the other devices that belong to this consumer (activated using the same user ID).

What users say about it

The biggest gripe that i have with this app is that it is very inconvinient to read in it. If only this app had the ease of use of adobe reader. You cant expect to red books on the mobile unless you zoom, and ideally, you should be able the scroll the pages while zoomed. But this is not possible in this app. You have to exit zoom, before scrolling. Add to that is the slow searching. The app sometimes becomes unresponsive while searching. — Simon

Absolute garbage, not taking any of the good ideas that other ereaders have. These clowns spend all their development money on drm when they should be adding features — Mantra2 yo

I have a new phone and it hasn’t migrated my books across so I’ve lost what I paid for. Cheers Adobe. Thats before we even get into how much of a pain it is to set up in the first place. If i could give 0 stars, I would. — Stefan Maddock

What we say

Well, I am literally shocked by the low-quality of Adobe digital edition Apps. Seriously, they are just too bad to make us talk about it.

I guess that’s it. Really nothing to say about Adobe digital edition. They should delete these apps as a way to protect Adobe’s brand value. I am not kidding.
